Thompsons have announced the successful sale of the freehold of 24 Blackjack Street in Cirencester on behalf of the Gala Coral Group.

Stephen Brickell of Thompsons commented “The property is prominently situated on Blackjack Street which is on the periphery of the primary retail area of Cirencester. We were instructed by our clients to market the freehold of the premises with the ground floor shop and basement having vacant possession. The upper parts of the property having already been sold off on long leases.

As a result of our extensive marketing campaign we experienced a tremendous amount of interest in the premises. The property extends to 610 sq ft of ground floor open plan retail accommodation with a further 350 sq ft of space in the basement. We have successfully concluded the sale to a private property investment company and believe that this sale reaffirms the growing confidence of investors that the property market has bottomed out. This is further confirmed by a great deal of activity we have experienced recently in the investment and retail sectors.”
