Letting at Swindon nightspot

Thompsons have announced the successful completion of a new lease on the well known Swindon nightclub Rehab, on behalf of the landlords, The Studio Partnership.

Stephen Brickell of Thompsons commented “Having successfully agreed terms with the Subway sandwich chain who occupy part of the former Studio nightclub we were instructed by The Studio Partnership to agree terms of a new lease with the opeartors of the Rehab nightclub to enable them to continue with their planned growth of their successful and established nightclub. We were able to negotiate a longer term lease which has enabled the nightclub to expand in size into part of the adjoining previously empty accommodation. The extra security that this new lease has given the tenant has enabled them to substantially refurbish their premises at the same time also.”

Well known local estate agent Richard James, one of the members of The Studio Partnership, commented “We would like to thank Thompsons and in particular Stephen Brickell for the efficient and professional way that he dealt with this lease renewal. As a result of Stephen's success in agreeing new terms with Rehab and securing the letting of another part of the building to the Subway sandwich chain we are delighted to confirm that we have appointed Thompsons to mange the building on our behalf and to secure lettings of the remaining accommodation.”

Stephen Brickell of Thompsons commented “Although the property market has experienced a roller coaster ride over the last year or so we are still finding that there are good quality tenants seeking premises in today's market and this recent lease renewal and letting reaffirms confidence in the Old Town district of Swindon. Leisure based businesses have been driving growth in this area for some time and I hope that we are able to continue our recent successes by the letting of the remaining accommodation at the former Studio nightclub which would be suitable for another leisure operator, restaurateur or retailer.”
